99% of resume bullet point examples lack the following:
(a) Detail on the impressive/unique action the candidate took to achieve their task.
(b) Numbers/metrics informing if the result met or exceeded goals.
(c) Does not pique my interest to learn more.
Below is a real example of a before/after bullet point using the STAR Method.
What is the secret to writing this bullet point?
—> 3 simple sentences using the STAR Method. Focus the first sentence on the Situation + Task. Then describe the Action in the second sentence. And end it with data-driven Results. The cherry on top is answering the “what happens next” or “how will you scale this” question with your future plan.
